Google API Issues
Make sure that your API Key has:
- No domain/application restrictions
- All required Libraries are activated
- Billing has been set up
This API Key will not be shown to the public so it’s save. The API key is used by WP Job Manager for any server-side geocoding tasks, it can be added by going to “WP Dashboard -> Job Listings -> Settings -> General -> Google Maps API Key”.
Listings are not Geocoded
In order for the listings to be shown in the map your listings have to be geocoded. You can see if your listing is geocoded by editing the listing via the backend and scrolling down to view all the details just like in the screenshot below.
If your listing doesn’t have any geocoding make sure to regenerate the geocoding for your listings.
Regenerate Geocoding
You can regenerate the geocoding for your listings by following the steps below:
- Edit your listing via the backend
- Delete the listing’s location
- Save/update
- Add the location again
- Save
Your listing’s geocoding should be generated once you save/update the listing with the new location and the data should be shown just like in the screenshot above. If the geocoding has not been generated then the issue lies with your Google API Key.
